Platinum Blasting Services is proud to announce that Bravus Mining and Resources has renewed its blasting services contract at the Carmichael Mine for a further four years, extending a successful partnership that has supported the operation since the site’s first production blast in November 2020.
Under the renewed agreement, Platinum will continue to deliver a full-service explosives and drill-and-blast engineering scope, including the supply of products and accessories and specialist technical support to help maintain safe, efficient and reliable mining operations as Carmichael continues to grow.
The renewal reflects Platinum’s consistent performance at Carmichael over more than five years, with a strong focus on safety, collaboration and responsiveness.
Since commencing work at the site, Platinum has supported planned production activities as well as short-notice changes, wet-weather recovery and campaign blasting requirements.
Platinum’s Carmichael team has grown significantly since first blast in November 2020, with the majority of the crew members based in North Queensland. That growth has strengthened local capability while supporting jobs, families and communities across the region.
The contract extension underscores Bravus Mining and Resources’ confidence in Platinum Blasting Services’ ability to deliver dependable blasting outcomes, reinforcing both companies’ shared commitment to operational excellence, regional employment and the long-term success of the Carmichael Mine.
“Platinum has been a valued partner at Carmichael, supporting our operations with a strong focus on safety, consistency and technical capability,” Mr Lippet said. “We’re pleased to extend this contract for a further four years and to continue working with a team that understands our site, our standards and the importance of delivering reliable outcomes for the mine and the region.”
Platinum Blasting Services CEO and Managing Director, Cliff Gale, said the renewal was a strong endorsement of the team’s performance and commitment at Carmichael.
“We’re proud to continue supporting Bravus Mining and Resources at Carmichael and to build on a partnership that has been defined by safety, reliability and collaboration since our first blast on site in 2020,” Mr Gale said. “This extension reflects the capability of our North Queensland team and the strength of the systems, technical expertise and service culture we bring to site every day.”
