Hydra S2 breakthrough
Hydra S2 breakthrough
Over the past few months, teams across the business have been part of an exciting push to lift the performance of Hydra S2 gassed blends. What began as a review of gassing variability quickly evolved into a major improvement project – bringing sites together, sharpening processes and unlocking stronger, more consistent performance than ever before.
Building Operator Confidence and Capability
One of the standout outcomes was the creation of a new, in-depth MPU operator training package. Rolled out across all sites, this refreshed program gives operators clearer guidance, real-world examples and a formal assessment to ensure everyone is confident, aligned and working to the same high standard when gassing Hydra S2 products.
Boosting Plant Performance
On the manufacturing side, a series of targeted improvements have helped drive greater product uniformity and reliability. These include:
- Tighter pH tolerances for plant-produced emulsion
- Updated SOPs and refreshed performance metrics
- Improved supplier QA/QC documentation and tolerances
- Progress toward a steady-state product output to reduce variability
Together, these upgrades are helping bridge the gap between plant performance and field expectations.
The Results Speak for Themselves
The impact is clear. Between July and October 2025, gassing ratios across all sites steadily converged toward the expected 0.40-0.25 range – a strong indicator that the new processes and training are delivering exactly the consistency we set out to achieve.
A Team Effort Worth Celebrating
This project showcases what can be achieved when our Technical, Plant and Field teams work together with a shared goal. By tightening tolerances, refining processes and building capability, we’ve set a new benchmark for Hydra S2 performance moving forward.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved – your efforts have delivered meaningful, measurable improvements that will benefit our operations well into the future.
